Dorota Mikiewicz was born onSeptember 1973 in Kodzko, southern Poland. Her father Henryk is a wellknown jazz saxophonist and composer. Her younger brother Micha would become a jazz percussionist, winning Fryderyk awards with the Simple Acoustic Trio .
