Edward Francis Hoban

Edward Francis Hoban was an American prelate and bishop of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as Bishop of Rockford and Bishop of Cleveland .

Edward Hoban was born in Chicago, Illinois, to William and Bridget Hoban, who were Irish immigrants. He attended St. Columbkille parochial school and then St. Ignatius High School in Chicago. He went on St. Igantius College in Chicago, from where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts . He then studied at St. Marys Seminary in Baltimore, Maryland.
