Enrique Pealosa Londoo is a Colombian politician. He was mayor of Bogot from 1998 until 2001, and was reelected in 2015 for the 20162019 term. He has also worked as a journalist and consultant on urban and transportation policy. In 2009, Pealosa was elected President of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy , a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York. Pealosa resigned from the ITDP board in 2015 upon his election. Recently, Colombian media made public that he fabricated a PhD and a master degree in public administration and government, supported in his books, public CV, and several public profiles. Pealosa was born in an elitist Colombian family. In his childhood Pealosa studied at Gimnasio Campestre where he dropout. Finally he finish his high school and he then moved to Durham, North Carolina in the United States where he did a general undergraduate bachelor with major in Economics at Duke University thanks to a partial football scholarship and his familial support. He used to claim that he had completed a doctorate in Public Administration in the University of Paris, and a master degree in Government at the cole nationale dadministration but multiple inquires to the universities and national archives have thrown no results on the matter.
