Ernst Krenkel
Ernst Teodorovich Krenkel was a Soviet Arctic explorer, radio operator, doctor of geographical sciences , and Hero of the Soviet Union . Amateur radio callsigns U3AA, UA3AA, RAEM.
Krenkel was born in Biaystok, now Poland, to a German family.
