Esma Sultan (daughter of Abd%C3%BClaziz)

Esma Sultan was an Ottoman princess, the daughter of Ottoman Sultan Abdlaziz and his Circassian wife Neerek Kadnefendi, herself the daughter of Prince Ismail Zevsh . She was the half sister of Abdlmecid II, the last Caliph of the Muslim world.

Esma Sultan was born onMarch 1873 at Dolmabahe Palace in Constantinople to Sultan Abdlazizs fifth wife Neerek Kadnefendi as the second child. She had an older brother, Shehzade Mehmed evket Efendi . She was soon followed by another sibling, Emine Sultan .
