F. Burton Howard

Fred Burton Howard has been a general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints since September 1978. He was a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy from that time until he was given emeritus status in October 2005.

Howard was born in Logan, Cache County, Utah. He served an LDS Church mission in Uruguay. He graduated with a law degree from the University of Utah in 1959. He was admitted to the Utah State bar.
