Frank McAveety

Frank McAveety is a Scottish Labour Cooperative politician and fromSeptember 2015 the leader of Glasgow City Council, having been elected to represent Ward at the Council elections in May 2012. He was formerly the Member of the Scottish Parliament for Glasgow Shettleston from 1999 until 2011.

Frank was bornJuly 1962 in Glasgow and brought up in the citys Barmulloch district. He was educated in Glasgow at All Saints Secondary School, followed by the University of Strathclyde, from which he graduated in 1983, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History.
