Frederick Valentine Atkinson
Frederick Valentine Atkinson was a British mathematician, formerly of the University of Toronto, Canada, where he spent most of his career. Atkinsons theorem and AtkinsonWilcox theorem are named after him. His Ph.D. advisor at Oxford was Edward Charles Titchmarsh.
