Friedrich Wilhelm Hauck
FriedrichWilhelm Hauck was a highly decorated General der Artillerie in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded several corps. He was also a recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. FriedrichWilhelm Hauck was captured by British troops in May 1945 and was released in 1948
