Playing With the Enemy by Gary W. Moore is a book about Gene Moore, the authors father, whose professional baseball career was interrupted by World War II. The title comes from the elder Moores time as a guard in a topsecret prisoner of war camp that was holding the crew of a Uboat 505, a captured German submarine. The book was the winner of the 2006 Military Writers Society of America Book of the Year. Playing with the Enemy is planned to be made into a major motion picture by Academy Award winning producer, Gerald Molen.
