Haf%C4%B1z Ahmed Pasha

Hafz Ahmed Pasha , also known by epithet Mezzinzade , was an Ottoman grand vizier. Born as son of a Pomak muezzin, he went to Istanbul at the age ofand was an employee in the sultans palace for many years. From 1609 on, he became Governor of Damascus , Van , Erzurum , Baghdad , and other Anatolian eyalets.
