Han In Sang


Han In Sang was a general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints from 1991 to 1996. Han was the first Korean Latterday Saint to become an LDS Church general authority.

Han was born in Seoul. In 1957, Han was baptized a member of the LDS Church. He was ordained an elder in the church by Gordon B. Hinckley, who was then an Assistant to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Han was the first native Korean to serve as a Mormon missionary in Korea. Later, he was the first regional representative in Korea and the first native Korean mission president to oversee a church mission in Korea. Han also translated the Book of Mormon into Korean.
