Hans Wijayasuriya

Shridhir sariputta Hansa Hans Wijayasuriya is a Sri Lankan engineer and corporate executive. The Group Chief Executive of Dialog Axiata, Wijayasuriya has been described by his company as having spearheaded Sri Lankas mobile revolution.

Wijayasuriya was born in Sri Lanka to P. M. W. Wijayasuriya, Auditor General and Susila Wijayasuriya, a painter. He was the only child. He studied at S. Thomas College, Mount Lavinia and graduated from University of Cambridge in 1989 with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He subsequently obtained his PhD in Digital Mobile Communications from the University of Bristol in 1994. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology , a Chartered Professional Engineer and a member of the IEEE.
