Harry Broadhurst


Air Chief Marshal Sir Harry Broadhurst GCB, KBE, DSO amp Bar, DFC amp Bar, AFC , commonly known as Broady, was a senior Royal Air Force commander and flying ace of the Second World War.

Broadhurst was born in 1905 in Frimley, Surrey, England. He joined the British Army as a second lieutenant in the Royal Artillery and then, in 1926, transferred to the Royal Air Force .
