Hassan al Banna
Sheikh Hassan Ahmed Abdel Rahman Muhammed alBanna known as Hassan alBanna was a school teacher and imam, best known for founding the Muslim Brotherhood, one of the largest and most influential 20thcentury Muslim revivalist organizations. His soninlaw Said Ramadan emerged as a major leader of the Muslim Brotherhood from the 1950s.
Hassan alBanna was born on the 14th of October 1906 in Egypt in Mahmudiyya, a rural town located northwest of Cairo in Beheira Governorate in the Nile delta.
