Henry Raby
RearAdmiral Henry James Raby VC, CB was a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.
Henry James Raby was born onSeptember 1827, the son of Mr A.T. Raby of Llanelly, Carmarthen. He attended Sherborne School from 1841 to 1842, during which time he was a member of Abbey House.
