Herbert Schade

Herbert Otto Emanuel Schade was a West German longdistance runner who competed at the 1952 and 1956 Olympics. In 1952 he won a bronze medal in the 5000 m event, behind Alain Mimoun and Emil Ztopek. Four years later he placed 12th over 5000 m and 9th over 10,000 m. Schade won eight West German titles in these two events and finished fourth in the 10,000 m at the 1954 European Championships.
