Jack Coleman (actor)

John MacDonald Jack Coleman is an American actor and screenwriter, best known for playing the role of Steven Carrington in the 1980s prime time soap opera Dynasty , and for portraying Noah Bennet in the sciencefiction drama series Heroes .

Coleman was born in Easton, Pennsylvania, a sixthgeneration descendant of Benjamin Franklin. He attended The Solebury School and Duke University, where he decided to pursue acting as a career. After graduating from Duke in 1980, he attended the National Theater Institute at The Eugene ONeill Theater Center. He married actress Beth Toussaint in 1996. They have a daughter, Tess, born in 1999.
