Jacqueline Lee Jackie Kennedy Onassis was the wife of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, and First Lady of the United States during his presidency from 1961 until his assassination in 1963.

Jacqueline Lee Bouvier was born on July 28, 1929 at Southampton Hospital in Southampton, New York, to Wall Street stockbroker John Vernou Black Jack Bouvier III and socialite Janet Norton Lee . Bouviers mother was of Irish ancestry, and her fathers ancestry included French, Scottish, and English. Named after her father, Bouvier was baptized at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola in Manhattan she was raised in the Catholic faith. Her younger sister Lee was born in 1933.
