James Fauntleroy


James Edward Fauntleroy II is a GrammyAward winning singer, songwriter and record producer from Inglewood, California. Formerly a member of The Underdogs, Fauntleroy currently works with the production team The Ys and is the acting president of 1500 or Nothin. He is perhaps best known for writing songs for several prominent artists, such as No Air by Jordin Sparks, Take You Down and Superhuman by Chris Brown and Love Sex Magic by Ciara. He is also a member of the alternative music group Cocaine 80s, along with No ID, Common, and Jhene Aiko among others. With the group Fauntleroy has released a series of EPs, for free download via the groups website.

In 2013, Fauntleroy also made highprofile appearances on Drakes Girls Love Beyonce, Nipsey Hussles Crenshaw, J. Coles Born Sinner and Big Seans Hall of Fame. He also contributed writing and additional vocals to New Kids on the Blocks and JayZs Magna Carta Holy Grail . Fauntleroy also performed at the 2013 Soul Train Music Awards. On November 15, 2013, Timbaland released Know Bout Me, the first single from his album Textbook Timbo featuring Fauntleroy, Drake and JayZ. However, Timbaland looks to have shelved the project for the time being, instead focusing on his new album Opera Noir. In 2014, Fauntleroy won the Grammy Award for Best RampB Song for cowriting Pusher Love Girl, for Justin Timberlakes highly successful third studio album The 2020 Experience . in 2015, Fauntleroy wrote ontracks on Rihannas eighth studio album Anti.
