Jayabharathi

Jayabharathi is a popular Malayalam film actress who started her career in late 1968. She is a twotime winner of the Kerala State Film Award for best actress.

She is born as Lakshmi Bharathi, to Malayali parents Shivasankaran Nair and Sarada. Since her father was a railway employee they lived at railway quarters at Erode. She had her primary education from St.Rita Girls, Railway Colony School, Erode, Tamil Nadu. Malayalam actor Jayan was her first cousin.
