Kirk Farmer


Richard Kirk Farmer is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist originally from Richmond, Virginia. He is best known for his gritty, blues style vocals and roots rock song writing.

Kirk Farmer was born in Richmond, Virginia on Valentines Day in 1973. He is the only son of jazz musician, Calvin Farmer, and Joanne Farmer. Very early on in his childhood, Farmer was exposed to a wide variety of music ranging from Kenny Rogers to The Beatles to John Coltrane. At the age of seven, Farmers father attempted to teach his son saxophone and music theory. With no apparent interest in music, the lessons were quickly halted.
