La Malquerida
La Malquerida The Unloved is a Mexican film from 1949 based on the novel of the same by Jacinto Benavente. It was directed by Emilio Fernndez, and starred Dolores del Ro and Pedro Armendriz.
This movie ended the collaboration between Dolores del Ro and Emilio Fernndez started seven years before with Flor silvestre and continued with Maria Candelaria, in 1943, Las Abandonadas 1944 and Bugambilia 1945, but catapulted the cinema of Mxico onto the world stage.
