LaWanda Lindsey
LaWanda Lindsey is a country music singer. She began her career at ageand had her first nationally charted record at agewith Partly Bill. She was one of several quite young artists recording country music for Chart Records during this period. She got her start singing on WEASAM radio station in Savannah, GA, where her father, Norman H. Lefty Lindsey, was the General Manager and onair personality. In 1973 she became a protg of Buck Owens and began recording for Capitol Records, later in 19771978 she was on Mercury Records.
