Lindiwe Mazibuko


Lindiwe Mazibuko is a South African politician, musician and the former Parliamentary Leader for the opposition Democratic Alliance . She is the countrys fourth youngest parliamentarian after the African National Congresss Mduduzi Manana, Congress of the Peoples Luzelle Adams and her DA colleague Masizole Mnqasela, and has varyingly been labelled a rising star in Parliament and a possible future DA leader. She was elected the new DA parliamentary leader onOctober 2011, beating incumbent Athol Trollip in a tight race, becoming the first person of color to lead the Democratic Alliance in parliament.

Lindiwe Mazibuko was born onApril 1980 in Swaziland in mixedrace family. At the age of six she moved to KwaZuluNatal with her parents. Her father was a banker and her mother a nurse.
