Caroline Louisa CavendishBentinck was the maternal grandmother of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, greatgrandmother of Elizabeth II, greatgreatgrandmother of Charles, Prince of Wales, greatgreatgreatgrandmother of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and his brother Prince Harry, and greatgreatgreatgreatgrandmother of Prince George of Cambridge and his sister Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, as well as being an ancestress of other members of the British Royal Family.

She was born in Leicester, the daughter of Edwyn Burnaby of Baggrave Hall and his wife Anne Caroline Salisbury. She was baptised onDecember 1832 at Hungarton, Leicestershire.
