Maggie Hassan

Margaret Maggie Hassan is an American Democratic Party politician, who is the current and 81st Governor of New Hampshire. Hassan was elected Governor in 2012, and was sworn into office on January 3, 2013. Hassan won reelection on November 4, 2014.

Hassan was born Margaret Wood in the city of Boston, the daughter of Margaret and Robert Coldwell Wood, a political scientist who briefly served as United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
