Karl Magnus Svensson Pjrvi , surname also known as PjrviSvensson, is a Swedish professional ice hockey left winger currently playing for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League . During his NHL career, he has also played for the Edmonton Oilers, the organization that drafted him tenth overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
Pjrvi is the son of retired ice hockey player and coach Gunnar Svensson and Ingrid Maria SvenssonPjrvi, and the younger brother of Bjrn Svensson. Magnus Pjrvi was born in Sweden while his father Gunnar was the coach and manager of IK Vita Hsten. Magnus uses the surname, formerly a hyphenated surname, in honour of his maternal grandfather, who was Finnish.
