Mark Welland
Sir Mark Edward Welland FRS FREng is Professor of Nanotechnology at the University of Cambridge and head of the Nanoscience Centre. He has been a Fellow of St Johns College, Cambridge since 1986 and started his career in nanotechnology at IBM Research, where he was part of the team that developed one of the first scanning tunneling microscopes. He has been elected as the next Master of St Catharines College, Cambridge. He will take up office onOctober 2016.
