Markus H%C3%B6ttinger
Markus Httinger was an Austrian Formula Two driver who died at Germanys Hockenheimring during the third lap of the second round of the 1980 European Formula Two Championship, onApril 1980. He wasyears old at the time. The incident occurred when a loose wheel from Derek Warwicks car struck Httingers head, killing him almost instantly. The race was stopped when it became apparent how serious the incident was. The incident was similar to Henry Surtees fatal accident in Formula Two at Brands Hatch in 2009.
