Nenad Jankovi , known as Dr. Nele Karajli , is a Bosnian Comedian, musician, composer, actor and television director living and working in Belgrade. One of the founders of the New Primitivism cultural movement in Sarajevo, he was also the lead singer and coauthor for one of former Yugoslavias best known bands, Zabranjeno puenje . He cocreated and participated in TV shows Top lista nadrealista and Slona braa. During the Bosnian War Nele moved to Belgrade, Serbia where he formed one of two descendant factions of Zabranjeno Puenje. That splinter of the band was joined by the renowned filmmaker Emir Kusturica, and renamed Emir Kusturica amp The No Smoking Orchestra.

Jankovi was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina into a middleclass family. His father Sran Jankovi was a linguist and professor of Oriental sciences at University of Sarajevos Faculty of Philosophy. In his youth, Nenad was a mischievous kid with short attention span.
