Paul Newgarden
Major General Paul Woolever Newgarden was an American general during World War II. Prior to his death he commanded the 10th Armored Division . The 10th Armored Division Tigers played a key role in several engagements during World War II. While Major General William H. H. Morris took the Tigers into battle, Newgarden was the first to command and train them. Newgarden died in a plane crash over Chattanooga, Tennessee while returning to Fort Knox.
