Raja Paarvai
Raja Paarvai Royal Gaze 1981 is a Tamil language feature film directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. The story was written by Kamal Haasan, for whom the film was also his 100th starrer and first production. The score and soundtrack was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The film was simultaneously made and released as Amavasya Chandrudu in Telugu.
The film was a box office failure but is widely considered a cult film. Kamal Hassans performance earned him a Filmfare Award. Haasan had to work seven to eight years to compensate for the losses he faced through this film.
