Safar Barlik in Arabic meaning The Exile is a musical and a war film, directed by Henry Barakat and released in 1967. The film stars Fairuz, Nasri Shamseddine, Huda, Assi Rahbani, Berj Fazlian, Salah Tizani and Salwa Haddad. It was filmed in the northern village of Douma in Lebanon.
Safarberlik also written Seferberlik, is a term that describes historical practices during the late wars that the Ottoman government engaged into during the later phases of its empire. Safarberlik signifies conscription practices for the Balkan wars and WWI and the same term invokes all memories associated with war experience.
